How to Install and Remove Set Screw Shaft Collars:
- Back the set screws out so that it does not protrude into the inner diameter of the shaft collar.
- Slide the shaft collar over the end of the mating shaft.
- Position the collar to the desired location.
- Tighten the set screw until it engages the mating shaft.
- Do not over-tighten the set screw, as damage to the shaft and collar can result.
- Loosen the set screw and slide the collar off the shaft to remove it.
