Shaft Collar, 3/8″ Hex Bore, 303 SS, Outside Dia.: 7/8″

Category:

Description

PengXin manufactures standard shaft collars with hex and d-bore profiles for proper mating with the appropriate shaft. Hex bore collars allow for added holding power and higher torque capabilities if being used in positive drive applications. D-bore collars are designed for use with d-shafting. They are a better option than set screw shaft collars as they do not mar the shaft, have higher holding power, and are indefinitely adjustable. PengXin manufactures hex and d-bore shaft collars in 1215 lead-free steel with a proprietary black oxide finish and 303 stainless steel. Hex collars are also available in high-strength 2024 aluminum for lightweight applications. D-bore shaft collars are available in bore sizes from 1/4″ to 1,” and hex bore collars from 3/8″ to 1/2″.

Adjustable Shaft Collars

The collar can be a simple or complex mechanical part depending on the design. They are used to position components in motor assemblies, optical measuring instruments, and laboratory equipment. These products are also used in limit switches, positioning systems in MRI, and adjustable hospital beds.

Clip-on collar for high retention. These components are used in guidance systems, bombsights, and high-tech precision components. The clamping design allows them to withstand shock loads without moving. This makes them ideal for mounting components.

Another collar style is the double split collar. This is a two-piece shaft collar held together by two integrated Allen screws. Double split provides better retention and resistance to shock loads. These collars can be mounted radially or axially on the shaft. The double-split design also allows for more shaft diameter variation.
